After a gap with no birding tour (several cancellation due to global virus outbreak), finally I get to guide a group of birdwatchers from UK. Started from the city, we head towards lowland forest near Bentong and then towards the Genting valley. Next, we visited Bukit Tinggi, Fraser's Hill and end the trip with a walk in mangrove nature reserve.
BINGO! A Banded Kingfisher
Spent a short time for Babbler and Bulbul
Encountered a family of Siamang feeding on a fruiting tree
Millipede. It's small but always attract attention
Target bird doesn't want to come out into the open this afternoon. Very obscured sighting initially but at the end we had good views.
Morning birding provided us with unbelievable number of male Red-headed Trogon as well as other birds.
We tried several times for Malaysian Partridge and finally nailed it at it's usual ground
The morning walk at the mangrove reserve is generally hot but still able to get several good species
Keith waiting at the back for his turn to get a better view of a Laced Woodpecker
On the way back to Kuala Lumpur, we made a quick stop for Pitta, 2 species of it
