Japanese group birding 5 Feb 2020
This is the biggest Japanese group I had ever guided so far. Fun but again not easy to guide 14 in the group. Birdwatching but mostly with a camera. Well, these days it is common to see birdwatcher carrying a camera i.e. Nikon P900 or P1000.

Targeting 2 Kingfisher 20-21 Jan 2020
Waited for 2 days and only managed to get 1 main target. The other target did not even call for that 2 days.
Oscar & wife in Fraser's Hill 18th Jan 2020
This is Oscar and his wife first birding trip in Malaysia. There is no better place for creating a lasting memory, no other than Fraser's Hill. Lots of good birds with all the target species obtained for the day trip.
Hunting for Garnet Pitta 11-12th Jan 2020
My guest have been eyeing this species for a long time. In the morning we spent 4 hours waiting without getting a single sighting of a call. So we stepped out from the hide to stretch our legs. And exactly at that moment, the target decided to show up! It stayed on for about 10 minutes.
Roland & Nini are back 5-10th Jan 2020
First trip for the year. Not a new guest. I had Roland and Nini before. Good memory with this couple. This trip is the same with many good moments photographing birds in the mangrove, lowland forest and highland as well.
We were fortunate to get the targeted Barred Eagle Owl within minutes upon arrival at the site.

Back-to-back trip to Lanchang. Today, I guided Chinmay and his wife to this hotspot for bird photographer. Highlight include Malayan Peacock Pheasant.

Today with the same guest, we went to the lowland forest in Lanchang. It was another hot and humid day but we saw many new species which is different from Kuala Selangor.
Kuala Selangor - 26th Dec 2019
Back to the mangrove nature park today. Lots of good birds including the mangrove specialties but it was easy to get them this time around. With a bit of hard work and determination, we managed to get them.
Went birding with old pals - 23rd Dec 2019
A day trip with fellow birders from Singapore and Australia. Highlight for the trip include a Malayan Peacock Pheasant but dipped on Banded Pitta.
A quick stop at the famous drain in Kuala Lumpur.
The weather doesn't look too good but we still had a good look at the Treeswift.
Jan returned for more - 13th-15th Dec 2019
This is Jan's 2nd trip to Peninsular Malaysia. He returned to cover more grounds and get more species. Our first trip covered Fraser's Hill so this time we traveled to Bukit Tinggi, Lanchang and Kuala Selangor.
We had quite a number of photographers at this lowland bird hide. Here, we added a few more skulking Babblers.
There were many Asian Openbill storks and Grey-headed Lapwing in the paddyfield. Unbelievable!
It was a nice morning session in the mangrove nature park where we saw many new species while some are mangrove specialties.
