We had 1 day birding in the lowland forest near Kuala Lumpur where we went to Target Kingfishers as well as other species like woodpecker, broadbill and others. The following days we covered Fraser's Hill for 3 days, Bukit Tinggi, Krau forest, and the open field in Klang.
In Kuala Lumpur, the main highlight was a cooperative Rufous-collared Kingfisher, followed by 3 species of babbler - Black-capped, Grey-headed, Abbott's. Plenty of woodpecker but mostly high up in the canopy - Buff-necked, Buff-rumped, Crimson-winged, Checker-throated, Banded, and Maroon.
In Fraser's Hill and it's surrounding, we had Silver-eared Mesia, Malayan Laughingthrush, Chestnut-capped (Spectacled) Laughingthrush, Long-tailed Sibia, Fire-tufted Barbet, Black-throated Sunbird, Streaked Spiderhunter, Black-and-Yellow Broadbill, Brown Fulvetta, Mountain Fulvetta, Blue-crowned Hanging Parrot, Everett's White-eye, Grey-bellied Bulbul, Large Niltava, Rufous-browed Flycatcher, Grey-throated Babbler, and so much more.
